Welcome to 4C!

We are off to a great start! Even though we have only been in school for just over two weeks, I feel like the classroom has a great community of learners! The enthusiasm of everyone is terrific. 

We have already integrated technology in many ways to enhance learning. Our UOI is Online Communities and we have started our online community with Edmodo. We use Edmodo to share our thoughts on essential questions, to take quick checks for understanding, and to demonstrate our use of "netiquette." We are now focusing on the demands of online communities and evaluating websites for safety and usefulness. 

What's coming up?

• Well, we are very excited to have a guest speaker on Wednesday, September 2. Mr. Page from the Technology department will be talking to the fourth grade about online communities helping us to discover who we are. 
• Student Council elections are coming up. There is an information session on Aug. 31. If you are interested, go to Mrs. Meisner's room at 12:20. Elections will be held on Sept. 17. Classroom representatives will be elected on Sept. 20.
• We are designing t-shirts for our class shirt. Have your entry in by September 1. Good luck to all that enter. We will vote on September 2.
